These are tiny little orchids, but aren't they sweet? They grow almost like a weed and we've been told not to let they out of the pot or they'll be everywhere! We've had other, larger orchids, but they were a lot of trouble to grow.
Plumeria blossoms are one of my favorite. When we're in Hawaii, we make our own leis and just let the sweet fragrance waft upward like perfume. We have a number of these trees in the yard, and they're loaded with blossoms right now.
I brought back a couple of shoots of ginger from Hawaii and we have this coming up in several places in the yard. They come out of "cones" and if you have enough of them to put in an arrangement, it might be the sweetest smell on earth! Each blossom smells wonderful, but once picked, they don't hold up for more than an hour.
Rosemary blossoms...you asked to see these, Stephanie
The rosemary was started from a 2" pot from a shop in Cambria, Ca. Left alone, it was taking over the yard and shading the grass. We keep it cut back to a bush, but it's spread. In the foreground is lavender, but it looks spent for the season.
