Thursday the 31st in Icy Strait Point near Hoonah, Alaska

.
I have a nice picture of Shirley & Lorna that I wanted to put here, but the bloggie thingee is being obstinate. We waited awhile over breakfast until everyone gathered, as we had to be tendered into this location. Because the area is so small, they only have one ship a day anchor there, and this summer, only about 3 ships a week.

Gary & Ron

Gary, Ken, Ron & David. We were all waiting to get tickets to go on a "Bear Search".

There were really only two large buildings and a few homes at Icy Strait Point. This one building housed a lot of smaller shops. Right off, Shirley & Gary spotted "canned beanies". They picked out a stuffed animal, had it canned and mailed the can to Emma!

I stopped these two men walking through and asked to take their picture. Immediately people swarmed around, but they had to leave as they were supposed to be a part of a dance group.

Well, when you see a bear this endearing, it cries out for a photo!
