Evening Dinner and Cirque du Soleil

.
Our day in Skagway over, we met again in the dining room for dinner. I had the appetizer of salmon and another raw fish...both delicious. If I could ask for one thing more from the ship, it might be to have mimi menus to take home! I don't even recall what else I ate, but it was always good, needless to say! Once again, we celebrated Lorna's birthday, since this was the actual date. Marco (on the left) who had brought her first birthday cake at lunch just days before, teased her that she was aging rapidly as we sailed!

What a treat to have Cirque du Soleil perform some of their acts! The man in white was a clown who came through the audience taking pictures of people, then taking one person from a couple, took her across to the other side of the room, sat her with someone else and took the other woman back to the now-single man. He did that several times and had everyone laughing. During the show, to Ken's and my surprise, he came down our row and sat between us! First he was whispering to Ken and then he whispered to me that at the end of the act on stage, he wanted us to stand up like we were clapping wildly for the act. What he needed was our seat to continue his act! After the show, several peopple came up to us to ask if we were the couple standing, and what had he said to us! One thing for sure is that I've gained new respect for the people in the spotlight. It was so HOT! The show was as fantastic as anything one comes to expect from Cirque!
