Ready for a Day in Skagway

.
Poor Barbara! She was sick one night and had to call the ship's doctor. As a result, they wanted to keep her quarentined for two days!!! Sadly, she immediately felt better the following day, but certain ship officials kept tabs on her and made sure she stayed in her room. She left the door open so we could drop by for visits before leaving for the day. That's no way to cruise!

What a quaint town Skagway is! From a couple blocks down the street we could look back and see the ships docked in the harbor.

Here's the sweet fave of a local pup. During the time we were in ports, we saw a lot of people walking dogs. In all the time we were up there, I saw only one cat running across a yard.

Above was a fascinating building, faced entirely in driftwood. A close up is below. It's the tourist information center in town.

This picture attests to how quiet the town was in the morning. I was able to easily stand in the middle of the street to take my picture.
