Shirley opted to stay below and not take the tram up the mountain for a view of all surrounding Juneau. I love the local art that you see decorating items in the area.
From the tram, as we rode up, Ken photographed this eagle sitting on a Western Hemlock tree. I was able to crop and enlarge it, and it was a surprise to see how clearly he stands out!

Along the 1/2 mile trail we walked, we came across this wonderful totem carved into a living tree. We think this one is a mosquito, as we saw several carvings of them on the trip.
We're a family staying in touch with our daughter/sister as she travels around the world. It's the easiest way we found to send pictures from the home front(s) and not slow her email. We're having a lot of fun with this!
